2026 Ignite the Future for Indigenous Youth Golf Tournament
Join us for a memorable day of golf, friendly competition, and community connection in support of Indigenous children, youth, and families across Northwestern Ontario. Golfers will enjoy refreshments throughout the day, exciting contests and prizes, and a delicious dinner prepared by the talented culinary team from the Youth & Family Wellness Camp.
More than a tournament, this event is an opportunity to come together around a shared belief: that every child deserves opportunities to learn, grow, connect, and thrive.
Every registration, sponsorship, and donation supports the Makate Waagamichiwanang Gakinaa’amaatiwin Youth & Family Wellness Camp—a one-of-a-kind gathering place where culture, community, recreation, wellness, and belonging come together on the land.
Through year-round programming, the Camp brings children, youth, families, Elders, and community members together through:
- Summer camps
- Youth leadership gatherings
- Cultural teachings and land-based learning
- Equine programming
- Family events and community celebrations
- Sports, recreation, and wellness activities
The Camp is a place where young people can strengthen their connection to culture, discover their strengths, build confidence, and experience the support of a caring community.
Hosted by the Ma’mo’weh Wii’soo’ka’tiwin Foundation and proudly presented by Jarnel Contracting, this tournament helps connect caring individuals, businesses, and organizations with opportunities to invest in Indigenous-led solutions and brighter futures for young people and families.
Together, we are helping create opportunities, strengthen communities, and ensure that children and youth have a place where they feel welcomed, valued, connected, and proud of who they are.
